JOB SUMMARIES

The YDEKC Policy and Advocacy Coordinator will plan, coordinate and support YDEKC’s advocacy work which is focused on building more durable, sustainable and equitable funding for youth serving nonprofits and community based organizations to better support Black, Indigenous and Youth of Color. The starting salary range for this position is $44,000 – $48,000 annually, with a generous benefits package.

Reports to: YDEKC’s Director of Public Policy and Advocacy, René Murry

Essential job responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating a variety of virtual and in-person advocacy related activities and events that inform and catalyze YDEKC members to take action
  • Supporting the YDEKC Advocacy Committee and Advisory Board’s that lead our work
  • Representing YDEKC and our members at other youth-focused coalition tables and settings

 

The YDEKC Program Coordinator will plan, coordinate, support, and implement engagement and learning events and programs for members and cross-sector partners. Our learning activities focus on supporting leaders to build their own capacity by focusing on relationships and learning in community with peers, sharing from experience and gaining support from others doing similar work. The starting salary range for this position is $43,000 – $46,500 annually, with a generous benefits package.

Reports to: YDEKC Partnerships and Professional Learning Manager, Anne Arias

Essential job responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating a variety of virtual and in-person member opportunities (such as affinity groups or communities of practice) that foster a sense of belonging and engage members
  • Collaborating to support the development of resources and tools to support peer learning and leadership development for youth-serving non-profit organizations
  • Support the facilitation of advisory groups guiding YDEKC’s member engagement and cross-sector programs, and build relationships with members to guide our work

 

YDEKC’s Fundraising and Communications Manager is a new position that will build on YDEKC’s 10 years of supporting the youth development field, by managing YDEKC’s communications and fundraising activities. Communications responsibilities will include supporting online communications including newsletters, social media, and website and occasional print pieces. Fundraising responsibilities will include staffing our Fund Development Committee, building an individual donor program, supporting annual membership pledge drive, and grant writing. The starting salary range for this position is $55,000 – $60,000

Essential job responsibilities include:

  • Build and implement communication plans and strategies that will broaden member engagement and amplify YDEKC member stories
  • Support the Executive Director and the Fund Development Committee in establishing and implementing a comprehensive fund development plan to advance YDEKC’s mission
  • Develop and implement donor engagement and stewardship process and protocols, grant writing and annual membership drive
