Welcome, Aria!

POSTED ON June 4, 2021

We are pleased to announce that YDEKC has welcomed its new Fundraising and Communications Manager, Aria Wilson (she/her), who will help produce our monthly newsletters, write and edit content for social media and the YDEKC website, manage grant activities, and foster communication with YDEKC supporters and volunteers. Here she introduces herself in her own words so you can get to know her a bit.

I graduated from the University of Washington in 2017 with a B.A. in International Studies and have recently obtained my certificate in Fundraising Management and Digital Marketing from the University of Washington. I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills to support the fundraising strategies and financial health of YDEKC.

I have worked in early childhood education for five years and have been passionate about implementing social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum to ensure that every child receives an equitable approach to their education and development. With this background, I firmly believe that no single approach is the right one for every individual and child in need of support. I will be primarily responsible for maintaining a comprehensive communications plan, producing monthly newsletters, managing grant activities, and ensuring that all supporters of YDEKC’s mission are recognized.
