Washington State’s Tax Structure: Community Conversation

Are you concerned about the tax structure in Washington State and would like to give feedback to your legislators?

The State Tax Structure workgroup will be holding focus groups through a consulting firm and would like to invite YDEKC Members to have a community conversation about different tax structures for Washington State. This presentation is about the effort of the Tax Structure Work Group to update Washington’s state tax structure and gather feedback from individual taxpayers and businesses. Bring your questions and join us for this community conversation!

1:00-2:00 PM: This interactive presentation will include:

• Background information about the current tax structure;
• Explanations of different scenarios for changing the tax structure to improve equity (fairness), adequacy, stability, and transparency;
• Time for questions;
• Opportunities for participants to share their opinions.
