In this session we will define sustainability and identify applicable practices within relationship building, strategic communication, documentation, partnership and program quality, and resource development.

This spring, YDEKC hosted a Thriving Leaders Forum on Reimagining Pay Equity in Youth-serving Nonprofits. (Check out our Resource List to learn more.) Now it's time to dive deeper! To move from ideas to action, YDEKC is continuing our Thriving Leaders series this fall. For our November 16 workshop, we’ve invited a team from Sustainable Economies Law Center to share a case study on equitable compensation.

We are excited to announce our third round of Leadership Discussion Groups! This is a program exclusively for executive directors and leaders from YDEKC member organizations collectively focused on ensuring that Black, Indigenous, and youth of color thrive. Leadership Discussion Groups, launching in January 2023, will enable leaders in our network to build relationships with one another and share experiences and expertise related to key leadership topics. These groups will meet remotely once a month for informal discussions on topics of their choice facilitated by a rotating group member.

When community-based organizations and schools are immersed in the work of serving youth and families, it can be difficult to find time to invest in relationships between the adults and organizations who are coordinating services. And yet, lack of communication and coordination can lead to challenges and conflict. In this interactive virtual workshop, we will explore ways to build a culture of open and effective communication within our partnerships, including giving and receiving feedback. Participants will become familiar with tools that support communication and equitable facilitation of meetings and identify Feedback Touch Points to incorporate into their collaborative relationships.
This Member Meet-up is an informal opportunity to connect and deepen your relationships and collaborations within the youth development sector in King County. Leaders at all levels within our member organizations and partners are welcome to join us for networking and snacks. Let's meet up and be in community together!
