A Sneak Peek at the SEL Symposium Presenters

POSTED ON June 15, 2020

Join us for the 2020 SEL Symposium!

We are thrilled to share that almost all presenters are confirmed for the Whole Child, Whole Day: Heart, Mind, and Body Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) Symposium. We work with our Whole Child, Whole Day Advisory Committee to nominate local organizations and leaders who embody the symposium themes and who are doing inspirational work in the Road Map region. You will see some familiar organizations from past symposia and some new ones as well.

2020 SEL Symposium presenters:

  • Arts Corps
  • Bureau of Fearless Ideas
  • Community Center for Education Results
  • East African Community Services
  • Northwest Education Access
  • South End Stories
  • Sound Discipline
  • Space Between
  • SPS Ethnic Studies/Theatre of the Oppressed program
  • You Grow Girl!
  • Young Women Empowered

and others!

This year the symposium will take place virtually across three half-days: July 24 (Heart), July 31 (Mind), and August 7 (Body) from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Participants will get to choose from four workshops each day and attend two plenaries. Registered participants will also have access to recordings from all workshops.

Join us as we reflect on our individual and collective capacity to create equity-based learning environments that support the whole child. The symposium will move us to identify action steps to shift adult practices and systems to better serve youth of color in the Road Map region. Register for the symposium here or check out the Symposium web page for more details.
