Supporting Undocumented Students, January 18

During this time of uncertainty, undocumented students and their families continue to be targeted through systemic racism and xenophobia. During this training you will learn about the necessary tools to better support and work alongside undocumented students and their families. This interactive training will cover history of undocumented students, current events and legislation, educational and immigration rights of undocumented students and their families, and how to actively advocate with and for undocumented students and their families. This workshop is free and lunch will be provided with pre-registration. Lunch and networking will be from 12:30-1:00pm. 3.5 clock hours will be available for $10 Register here!

Peacemaking Circle Process, adapted from the Taquish Tlingit First Nation, combines wisdom rooted in ancient tradition with modern innovative problem solving strategies and storytelling to promote and support a balanced approach to social emotional learning. Peacemaking invites participants to be aware of all dimensions of their humanity: intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual by creating a sense of belonging and ownership that allows individuals to create connections and relationships with each other.
