Greetings YDEKC Members and Friends:
The last year has been like no other in living memory. With COVID-19 cases rising here in Washington, another four weeks of restrictions have begun, designed to stop the spread and ensure that our medical system doesn’t get more overloaded. King County’s guidance is available here, and while schools and childcare centers do not have new restrictions, we know that families will be impacted. United Way of King County’s COVID-19 resource list is a great go-to for information and help.
While we can’t be together in person, we are excited to see you at our 10-year celebration and reunion on December 2nd to reconnect and to renew our commitment to thriving youth. We will reflect back on the past 10 years and look forward to the next decade of supporting, connecting, and amplifying leaders of youth-serving organizations so that Black, Indigenous and youth of color thrive! We are so excited to be in community with you — even if it’s in Zoom breakout rooms and the chat box!
If you lead a youth-serving organization in King County, please join us as a YDEKC member (or recommit) or consider making a financial contribution to YDEKC to support our mission and work. Your investment will help us to continue to advocate for the essential support needed to support thriving leaders, thriving organizations, and thriving youth.
With gratitude and commitment,
Jessica
