School & Community Partnership Toolkit

Our Partnership Toolkit enables collaboration between schools and community partners.

Schools cannot meet the needs of King County’s children on their own. We believe that a full range of services and supports are needed to ensure that every child reaches his or her full potential. These services and supports are most effective when they are well coordinated. We have compiled a set of resources to improve coordination between educators and community-based partners working toward student success.

Draft versions of all three parts of the toolkit are now available:

  • Partnership Toolkit IntroductionThis section lays out our vision for partnerships and describes the structure and function of the toolkit.
  • Part 1, Getting Partnership ReadyThis section provides guidance on the work that schools and organizations can do before entering into a formal partnership, and provides tools to help with this important work.
  • Part 2, Growing and Managing the Partnership Ecosystem: This section includes resources for school and organization leaders who are working to ensure that the partnership ecosystem of which they are part is as efficient and effective as possible.

We are accepting feedback on these drafts via this simple feedback form.
