Youth Sports are Out of Reach for Too Many Kids and Teens in King County
A recent study, State of Play: Seattle-King County, analyzes the landscape of youth physical activity through sports, play, and outdoor recreation in King County and offers a snapshot of how well adults are serving youth through these activities with attention to race, location and income-based disparities. Findings include: access to physical activity is inequitably distributed in King County, as well as fields, facilities, and transportation are not meeting the demand to support equitable access.

If you are a community partner and your organization serves Seattle Public Schools students, you may be interested in the session on “Social Emotional Learning and Self-Care: Transforming Personal Practice to Better Serve Youth” on January 30 in Seattle.
