Thriving Leaders Forum: Reimagining Pay Equity in Youth-serving Nonprofits

The term “pay equity” is trending right now – but what does it mean in our current context? Where is our sector now when it comes to compensation, and where are we going? Join us in this collective learning forum as we redefine pay equity within our current context and engage in the movement for system-wide change. We will discover a wide array of approaches non-profits are taking to facilitate change within their own organizations and the sector, and you will have an opportunity to share ideas and ask questions with others who share your interests.

Closing the Racial Wealth Gap: Tips on Structuring Total Compensation Throughout the Employee Lifecycle

On April 22, 2022, YDEKC hosted a Thriving Leaders Forum on Reimagining Pay Equity in Youth-serving Nonprofits. Our keynote panelists shared strategies ranging from developing a compensation policy than aligns with organizational values to using innovative pay matrixes that begin with the same starting wage for every position to redefining expectations around what level of pay should be offered. Thriving Leaders Workshop: Equitable Compensation with Sustainable Economies Law Center

This spring, YDEKC hosted a Thriving Leaders Forum on Reimagining Pay Equity in Youth-serving Nonprofits. (Check out our Resource List to learn more.) Now it's time to dive deeper! To move from ideas to action, YDEKC is continuing our Thriving Leaders series this fall. For our November 16 workshop, we’ve invited a team from Sustainable Economies Law Center to share a case study on equitable compensation.

Leadership Discussion Groups – Application Deadline

We are excited to announce our third round of Leadership Discussion Groups! This is a program exclusively for executive directors and leaders from YDEKC member organizations collectively focused on ensuring that Black, Indigenous, and youth of color thrive. Leadership Discussion Groups, launching in January 2023, will enable leaders in our network to build relationships with one another and share experiences and expertise related to key leadership topics. These groups will meet remotely once a month for informal discussions on topics of their choice facilitated by a rotating group member.
